GETTING TO LOMBOK ISLAND BY FERRIES AND LAND TRANSPORTS

How to get Lombok Island by public ferries and suttle bus?. There are two ways of ferry crossing to Lombok Island. The first is from Sumbawa island the sister of Lombok Island in the province of Nusa Tenggara Barat, where the harbor name is Tano harbor of Sumbawa and will land at Kayangan harbor of Lombok, located at the eastest shore of East Lombok, Operate 24 hours schedule and depart every two hours daily and takes only one and half to reach every island of Lombok or Sumbawa. The second ferry gateway to Lombok is from Padang Bai harbor (take 2.5 hours drive from Denpasar Bali) eastest shore of Bali will depart every 2.5 hours in whole day and night. Crossing will take from 4 to 5 hours to Lembar harbor of Lombok (the western harbor of Lombok Island). From the Padang Bai harbor, there is a fast boat that take only one and half hours crossing to northern shore of Lombok that might be as your other choice to reach Lombok Island.

1. Public Bus to Lombok
The public overland buses with Air Conditioner also operate to Lombok Island from Bali. You can get them in Ubung Bus Station Terminal in Denpasar area that you will be proceed to leave from 7 pm to 9 pm and you will arrive in Bertais Bus Station terminal of Lombok in the morning time around 7-8 am.
 
2. Shuttle Bus
Daily departure from Kuta area, Ubud, Candidasa directly to Mataram, Senggigi, Bangsal and Gili Island. Price includes ferry and buses for both Bali & Lombok. For budget travelers (Backpackers), this option is recommended to eliminate hassle and bustle.
 
3. Crossing with Your Rented Car
On every crossing to Lombok, the ferry also proceed you to cross with your rental car or you could leave and park in Padang Bai harbor with little extra daily charge of parking and upon arrival in Lombok you will be provided other rental car for your comfort in Lombok.
